My Story
When I was a little girl, I remember dreaming about being an actress. The only problem with that was that I was terrified of being on camera. Because of my fears and the so-called fact that “being an actress wasn’t going to pay the bills”, I put that dream on the back burner. Then, when I was 27 years old, my mom asked me to write and read a speech for my father’s 60th Birthday. On his Birthday, I read the speech in front of our family and friends. My Aunt Peggy, who used to work as a talent scout, heard me read and said that my voice is amazing, and that I HAVE TO get into Voice Over Acting. Acting without being on camera? Seriously? I LOVE THAT IDEA! That’s when I decided that I was going to do everything in my power to succeed in this industry.
In 2016, I graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting with honorable mentions in all courses. After graduation, I worked with a voice over coach, networked, created a few projects and worked on perfecting my talent. Now, in 2022, I have finally decided to pursue my dream of being a full-time freelance Voice Actor. In doing so, I formed Uniqorn Voice Overs LLC.
Business and Technical Info
I formed Uniqorn Voice Overs LLC to provide voice talent to independent clients for television commercials, radio spots, audiobook narration, documentaries, animation and corporate voice mail recordings. I have strong reading comprehension and follow direction very well. In addition, I have a flexible schedule and a sound-proofed home studio with professional recording equipment (Rode NT1-A microphone with acoustic reflection filter, a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen USB audio interface and Adobe Audition software for editing). My voice has been described as warm, friendly, sultry, professional, sympathetic and trustworthy, but my range is much broader than just that.
